Affiliate disclosure

In plain terms: when you click a product link on this site and buy something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. It costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same as if you had gone to Amazon directly.

This is how the site is funded. There is no subscription, no paywall and no display advertising.

1. 1.Every product link goes through `/go/` on this domain first. That is a redirect, not a tracker — it exists so that if we ever change retailer for a product, one config entry updates every page rather than requiring a site-wide find-and-replace.
2. 2.The link then goes to Amazon with our Associates tracking ID attached (`jmg-bucklebuggy-20`). That tag is what tells Amazon the sale came from here.
3. 3.Every commercial link carries `rel="sponsored nofollow noopener"` and opens in a new tab, per Google's link-spam policy.
4. 4.Every page with a product link shows a disclosure above the first one, and every buy button carries an `#ad` label linking back to this page.
5. 5.Links currently go to Amazon search results, not to specific product pages. We have no verified product identifiers for this site, and inventing one to build a direct link is exactly the kind of fabrication we refuse — so the link searches Amazon for the model instead. It works the same way for you.

There are no prices on this site. Every buy button reads Check price on Amazon, and that is deliberate.

Car seat and stroller prices move constantly, and a printed number that is a week old is misleading on a purchase of several hundred dollars. This site has no live price data layer, so rather than print figures we cannot keep current, we send you to the retailer for the number. The infrastructure to display live, dated prices is in place and unused — the day price data is available, buttons will show a figure with the date it was verified, and never without.

The same rule applies to discounts and deals: we do not publish predicted prices, expected sale dates or unverifiable claims about savings, in any season.

• Rankings. Our criteria are published on the methodology page and every score comes from documented specifications. On several roundups here the cheapest option is the top pick.
• Which retailer we recommend. Amazon is currently the only retailer we earn from, so there is no differential rate to bias between them. Where a brand-direct store would serve you better we say so, whether or not we earn from it.
• Whether we say a product is not worth the money. Several pages here recommend against a premium product for most readers. That is the point of publishing criteria.
• Paid placement. No brand has paid for a position, a review or a mention, and none will. If that ever changed it would be disclosed on the page in question and here.

Amazon is currently the only affiliate program this site participates in. We may join others in future — a brand-direct store with better pricing or stock is genuinely better for a reader than Amazon in some cases.

If that happens, two things will be true: this page will name the program, and the decision to link it will be made on whether it is better for the buyer rather than on what it pays. A link to a program we have not joined is an untracked link that earns nothing, and we would rather send you to the right retailer than the paying one.

This disclosure exists to comply with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and with the Amazon Associates operating agreement, both of which require that material connections be disclosed clearly and prominently. We think it should be more than a compliance exercise, which is why the disclosure is a full page rather than a line of small print.
